xAtUm ?
xAtUm is Another Text-to-speech program Using Mbrola.
pronounce xAtUm "zatum".
Why ?
Because I didn't found a good enough Text-To-Speech for French and Esperanto.
xAtUm is a free and easy Text-to-speech synthesis program using MBROLA
and Python.
My first goal is to make a text-to-speech program for Esperanto,
good enough to listen to mail or web pages without the need to read it,
and to love what you are listening.
My second goal is to focus specially to emotional voices,
to find new ways to render emotion in voice.
Current status ?
I currently have a basic TTS system for Esperanto, using the MBROLA system
and Polish voice. With that one, I can modify it to emulate male and
female voice, and give several emotions and voice stress.
